P3D v4.1 WON'T START | PMDG 777

I've downloaded and installed the latest versione of P3D v4. Whenever I try to start the sim I got a black screen. If Iclick around with the mouse I can hear a sound, the one windsows uses when a dialog window comes up. Then the screen disappear and I can see my desktop. If I double click the icon of P3D it says that it is already running and to close it I have to restart the PC (alt+canc doesn't show the sim as running). The situation is quite frustrating because I've already tried to download and install the sim a few times, but nothing change (I didn't get any error).
What can I do?
Thanks in advance for your help

UPDATE

I tried to uninstall again and change the order in which I install the addons I own. I found that (I think) the problem is with the PMDG 777-200 base package. In fact, after installing it i double clicked on P3D and the black screen appeared. For a few seconds there is a bar that say something is loading, but it is almost impossible to read what.
If I uninstall the addon nothing change. Any ideas? Maybe they have to make it compatible with v4.1 (it is v4)?
Thanks

After uninstalling the addon I tried to cancel also:
%PROGRAMDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
%APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
After that I was then able to start the SIM. I sent a ticket to PMDG regarding the issue. However, any idea of what to do in order to install the 777 without any problem?
Sorry and thanks in advance

Hello,

Have you confirmed that the PMDG 777 addon is compatible with the latest version of Prepar3D? They might need to release an update.

It is also possible that any other addons you have conflict with the 777. Have you tried just installing the 777 without any other addons?

Kayla

I'm sorry If this topic was opened in the wrong section (I noticed that now it is in a different one)

On the PMDG website it says P3D v3 and v4, but I'm sure I read something like v4.x. Also on YT there are many videos of people using the 777 with P3D v4.1 without any problem.

Yes I tried to install first the other addons, such as ORBX, and then the 777: the problem occurs when I install the 777, if I use the sim just with the other addons or without, it starts great.

I also tried to remove the cfg and the shaders, but nothing changed. I'v contacted PMDG Support to see if they can help me as well.

Hi Mantozz,
I found a solution, but it is just only to satisfy to fly.
In the Folder
%PROGRAMDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4
There is the dll.xml.
Open it and delete everything which has to do with PMDG.
Save and restart the SIM.

It is not a good solution, but we can continue use P3D V4.1.
I think there must be a Problem within the PMDG 777 (as you mentioned).
I will try to find out which dll is the main Problem.

regards,
Dirk

Hey Mantozz,

Error found. It is the RAASPRO.dll which "crashes" P3D.
So, if you open the dll.xml just put in the / like </Launch.Addon> where the RAASPRO.dll should Launch.

Dirk

when I chose to start p3d v4 with dedicated graphics it started flawlessly. I suspect windows sometimes uses the integrated graphics and it stalls prepar3d v4. Hence the blank screen. Hope this helps.
