Tabs hopped up on the bed this morning before long after dawn, as he commonly does, mugging for lurvies. He has this very specific routine where he first walks around the pinnacle of the bed behind the pillows, then goes down betwixt me and El Hub, and and then from there he either attempts to place a possessive paw on peak of my breast or El Hub's. Then he tries to climb up on top of ane of usa for whisker and cheek scratches.

It rained every day this calendar week, a lot, and then Tabs didn't get to go outside like he normally does, and I think he was starting to become depressed about information technology. He would climb up onto his window ledge and stare at the rain exterior. Then he'd look dorsum at me with the saddest tabby optics. 🙁

But information technology was actually pouring! At that place was no way he would have wanted to be out at that place in that pelting anyway.

We've tried it before. We've gone outside when information technology was raining, but as before long equally one of his fragile paws touched the wet ground, he started mewling similar he was saying, "Why? Why is this happening? Why!?"

When I saw that it wasn't raining this morning, I speedily grabbed his harness, and we went for a walk outside.

Because of the pelting, the hills are green and lush correct now, and everything'south growing.

We inspected the entire perimeter but didn't spot any intruders, so then it was fourth dimension for brunch. Tabs had the green salad, of course.

I'm serious, he ate and so much grass! I couldn't get him to stop. Maybe he was thinking, "Well, if y'all aren't gonna mow this lawn…"

I'm sure the hill looked unlike to him because of how greenish and vibrant everything is. There are more than birds than usual, besides. The actress water brings out so much life. We've been seeing more than deer, squirrels, birds and opossums lately — all kinds of things — and Tabs probably watches them through the windows in the house.

I'yard glad the rain allow up long enough for Tabs to savour some fourth dimension outside. Along with playing chase, and eating bacon, and gravy, and getting lurvies, and doing kitty modeling, going outside is i of his favorite things in the world. 🙂
